Ceramic Coating

Water runs. Gloss stays.

A semi-permanent, hydrophobic ceramic layer that bonds to your paint — beading water, shrugging off contaminants and deepening the shine for years.

The hydrophobic effect — water beads and runs right off.
Ceramic coating going on in our studio.
Hydrophobic by design

The paint that cleans itself (almost).

Ceramic coating chemically bonds to your clear coat, creating a slick, water-repelling surface. Dirt struggles to stick, water sheets away, and washing gets dramatically easier.

What ceramic coating does

  • Repels water and cuts down spotting
  • Makes contaminants easier to wash off
  • Adds depth and gloss to the finish
  • Resists UV fade and chemical staining

What it does not do

  • Stop rock chips or deep scratches (that's PPF)
  • Make paint scratch-proof or bulletproof
  • Remove existing swirls (correct first)
  • Eliminate washing — it makes it easier, not optional

The benefits, honestly.

Slick & hydrophobic

Water beads and sheets off, carrying dirt with it and cutting down on spots.

Easier washing

Grime releases with far less effort — most washes become a rinse and a quick wipe.

Deeper gloss

A candy-like depth and clarity, especially over corrected paint.

UV & chemical resistance

Helps guard against fading, oxidation and staining from the elements.

Years, not months

A semi-permanent bond that outlasts waxes and sealants by a wide margin.

Every package starts with the same obsessive prep. What changes is the coating itself — how many layers, how hard, and how long it lasts.

Prep is everything.

  1. 01

    Wash & decontaminate

A thorough wash, clay and iron decon to strip everything off the paint.

  2. 02

    Paint correction

Swirls and defects are polished out first — the coating locks in whatever is underneath, so it must be right.

  3. 03

    Panel wipe

Every panel is wiped down to remove polishing oils for a clean bond.

  4. 04

    Coating application

The ceramic is applied and leveled panel by panel in a controlled environment.

  5. 05

    Cure & maintenance plan

The coating cures before exposure to water, and we hand over a simple maintenance routine.

Ceramic questions.

Different jobs. Ceramic is a hydrophobic, easy-clean gloss layer; PPF is physical impact protection. Many clients do PPF on high-impact areas and ceramic over the whole car.

It adds a hard, slick layer that helps with the very finest marring, but it will not stop rock chips or key scratches. For impact protection, that's PPF.

Depending on the product and care, typically a few years. Higher tiers last longer. We'll confirm the durability of the specific coating we recommend.

Yes, but far less painfully — dirt releases easily and water carries a lot away. Regular gentle washing keeps it performing.
